Welcome

There's now an even warmer welcome down at the Foresters in Beckington, where new hosts Sally and Dave Axford have taken over at the helm of this ever-popular country pub, and they're inviting you to enjoy a glass of wine with them.


Sally, who was previously chef at the Bull at Hinton, and husband are looking forward to the challenge of attracting new customers to the pub, which is operated by Abbey Ales, brewers of the award-winning Bellringer ale, and the only brewery in the nearby city of Bath.

The couple will be introducing a new menu which not only includes old favourites such as Deep Fried Cod in Bellringer Beer Batter, and Bellringer Sausage & Mash, but Sally's speciality dishes such as Black Bream, Stuffed Belly of Pork, and Mushroom Risotto.

To celebrate their arrival at the Foresters, Abbey Ales will be running a free glass of wine offer in conjunction with local newspapers. So it's a great opportunity for customers, old and new, to make their acquaintance with Sally and Dave, and enjoy some real Somerset hospitality.
